Spot is a happy go-lucky boy who aims to please! His bad luck has not dampened his spirits but rather made him appreciate life and having human companionship even more.

Spot was picked up as a stray and taken to Cobb County Animal Shelter. CCAS has a great group of volunteers who work tirelessly to ensure all dogs get out of their cell each day to an outside run for fresh air or a dog walk for exercise. It was Spot’s turn and as the new volunteer was putting a lead on Spot to take him out, Spot jumped in excitement and scratched the volunteer. This landed Spot in lock-down facing certain death. Yes, a mere scratch!  O.P.P. was alerted and a text was sent to the supervisor asking to please spare Spot and give us a chance to meet him. Upon entering the county shelter the next morning, we were told our message was received “just in the nick of time”.

At O.P.P., Spot has learned to sit before going outside or coming inside.  A simple solution to jumping!  Spot loves to walk, play mental games and receive attention. Spot learns very quickly and aims to please his people! He will make a great companion for an active home!
