Monday 2/5/2024, we were made aware of an eviction situation by a fellow rescuer who works with cats. This rescuer was going to help the cats who resided in the home, but was looking for help with 2 dogs who were tied up (chained) outside. We recently pulled 6 dogs from Cobb County Animal Services, so we are at capacity, but our Intake Team put their heads together and determined we could make space. First, however, we needed to meet the 2 pups to make sure we would be able to help them rather than their having to go into the county. Our team members went to the home and met 2 sweet dogs who happened to be inside this time, but living alone for the past several days. The pups were so sweet in spite of their living situation; we knew we could help them.
When we arrived the female had been picked up by another rescue so we concentrated on getting Rusty to the safety of Our Pal’s Place.
Rusy has tested positive for heartworms which our Save-A-Heart fund will be used to cover all of his expenses. All we need is to find a loving, forever, inside home for Rusty!
